Reports of robbery, gunfire at fireworks stand in Alvin; 2 in custody, sheriff’s office says
Alvin, Texas – Two suspects are in custody after a brazen robbery and reports of gunfire at a fireworks stand near Alvin early Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies responded to the incident at a fireworks stand located on County Road 129 at approximately 2:30 a.m.
While details are still emerging, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office stated that two individuals have been apprehended in connection with the robbery. Investigators believe as many as seven suspects may have been involved in the incident.
According to initial reports, shots were fired during the commission of the crime. However, authorities have confirmed that no injuries were reported.
