Food Truck Crash Shuts Down Northbound Loop 303 at Indian School Road, Causing Major Delays
GOODYEAR, Ariz. – A severe single-vehicle crash involving a food truck forced the complete closure of northbound Loop 303 at Indian School Road on Tuesday morning, leading to significant traffic delays in the West Valley.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) reported that the incident occurred shortly before 11:10 a.m. on June 24, 2025. The vehicle involved was identified as the “Queso Good Quesadilla Truck.”
Emergency crews responded to the scene where the food truck was found overturned, blocking all northbound lanes of the freeway. Debris from the crash was scattered across the roadway, contributing to the closure.
One woman, an occupant of the food truck, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The full extent of her injuries and her current condition have not been released. It is not yet clear if there were other occupants in the vehicle or if any other vehicles were involved in the incident.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by AZDPS. Officials have not yet commented on what may have led to the food truck overturning.
The closure of northbound Loop 303 at Indian School Road caused a major traffic backup for several hours. The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) advised motorists to seek alternate routes, suggesting drivers exit at McDowell Road or Thomas Road to avoid the congestion. Southbound lanes of Loop 303 were not affected by the crash.
ADOT crews were on site to assist with traffic control and the subsequent cleanup of the scene. The freeway was expected to remain closed for an extended period as investigators processed the scene and crews worked to clear the wreckage. Motorists were advised to check the ADOT website or social media channels for the latest updates on the reopening of the freeway.
This is a developing story. More information will be released as it becomes available.
