Jeremy Allen White Becomes The Boss in Gritty ‘Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere’ Trailer

LOS ANGELES, CA – June 18, 2025 – The highly anticipated first trailer for “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere” has finally dropped, offering a compelling glimpse into Jeremy Allen White’s transformation into the legendary Bruce Springsteen. The film, which centers on the creation of Springsteen’s iconic 1982 album Nebraska, promises a raw and intimate look at the rock icon during a pivotal period of his career.

Fans of The Bear star have been eagerly awaiting this role, and the trailer, released today by 20th Century Studios, suggests White fully embodies the spirit of The Boss. From his earnest expressions to the signature vocal delivery (White reportedly does his own singing in the film), the actor appears to capture the intensity and introspection that defined Springsteen’s Nebraska era.

Directed by Scott Cooper, known for his work on the Oscar-winning music drama Crazy Heart, “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere” is based on Warren Zanes’ 2023 biography, Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska. The film delves into the deeply personal and often haunted journey Springsteen undertook while recording the stripped-down, acoustic album on a 4-track recorder in his New Jersey bedroom.

The trailer showcases White’s Springsteen grappling with the pressures of burgeoning superstardom and confronting the “ghosts of his past,” as the official synopsis describes. We see glimpses of the recording process, interactions with his longtime manager Jon Landau (played by the formidable Jeremy Strong), and evocative flashbacks to Springsteen’s childhood, particularly his complicated relationship with his father, Douglas (Stephen Graham).

Joining White, Strong, and Graham in the talented ensemble cast are Paul Walter Hauser as guitar tech Mike Batlan, Odessa Young as love interest Faye, Gaby Hoffmann as Springsteen’s mother Adele, and Marc Maron as Chuck Plotkin.

“Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere” is set to hit theaters on October 24, 2025, and early buzz from the trailer suggests it could be a strong contender in the upcoming awards season. With White’s compelling portrayal and a focus on one of Springsteen’s most critically acclaimed yet deeply personal works, this biopic aims to deliver a powerful and transformative cinematic experience for fans and newcomers alike.
