Police: 3 dead, 1 arrested after fatal crash in Round Rock
ROUND ROCK, TX – June 29, 2025 – Three individuals are dead and one person has been arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) following a horrific multi-vehicle crash that occurred early Sunday morning on I-35 in Round Rock.
The Round Rock Police Department (RRPD) confirmed that officers responded to the fatal incident around 2:00 a.m. in the 1200 block of northbound I-35, just north of Palm Valley Boulevard. The crash involved three vehicles, resulting in the immediate deaths of three occupants. Their identities have not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities quickly initiated an investigation at the scene. While details are still emerging, the RRPD has confirmed that one individual was taken into custody on charges of Driving While Intoxicated in connection with the devastating collision.
The section of northbound I-35 was closed for several hours as emergency crews worked to process the scene, clear debris, and investigate the circumstances leading to the crash. Traffic was significantly impacted, with drivers advised to seek alternate routes. All lanes have since reopened.
