18-year-old motorcyclist dies in crash in Fond du Lac County
Teen Motorcyclist Killed in Fond du Lac County Collision
TOWN OF AUBURN, Wis. – An 18-year-old Campbellsport man tragically lost his life Tuesday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash in the Town of Auburn, according to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
The fatal incident occurred at approximately 3:51 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the intersection of County Highway V and Auburn-Ashford Drive. The initial investigation reveals that the 18-year-old was operating a motorcycle southbound on County Highway V when he collided with a pickup truck.
The pickup truck, driven by a 32-year-old man, also from Campbellsport, was reportedly proceeding eastbound from a stop sign on Auburn-Ashford Drive at the time of the collision.
Emergency crews from the Campbellsport Fire Department and Campbellsport Ambulance, along with deputies from the Sheriff’s Office, were dispatched to the scene. Despite life-saving efforts, the young motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck was treated for minor injuries at the scene and released. He is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
Authorities have indicated that the speed of the motorcycle appears to be a contributing factor in the crash. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. Further details will be released as they become available.
