Motorcyclist flown to hospital after Ballston crash

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. – A Ballston Spa man was killed in a motorcycle crash on the Northway (Interstate 87) Wednesday evening, according to New York State Police.

The victim has been identified as Matthew Tenace, 48.

State Police said the accident occurred around 9:38 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway. Investigators reported that for reasons still under investigation, the motorcycle operated by Tenace went off the east shoulder of the road and crashed.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene, but Tenace was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. Further details will be released as they become available.
