Minor Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision in Madison County, MHP Investigating

MADISON COUNTY, Miss. – The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a minor on Tuesday evening.

The tragic incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on June 17, 2025, on Highway 16 near Virgin Mary Road in Madison County.

According to initial reports from the MHP, a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica and a 2006 Ford Fusion were involved in the collision.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, and a minor passenger in the Ford Fusion was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson. Tragically, the minor was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The drivers of both vehicles sustained only minor injuries in the crash.

The cause of the collision is currently under active investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol. Further details will be released as they become available.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
